Terms of service

Last updated: 30 August 2026

These terms cover your use of Verflink at verflink.com. We've written them to match what the service actually does and what we can actually promise. By creating an account, running a scan, or subscribing, you agree to them. If you don't, please don't use the service.

What Verflink does

Verflink visits the publicly reachable pages of a site you give us, follows the outbound links it finds, and reports which ones are broken, which look uncertain, and where an affiliate tag appears to have been stripped or changed along a redirect chain.

Your account

We use passwordless sign-in: we email a link that signs you in. Anyone with access to your inbox can therefore access your account, so keep it secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. You must be able to form a binding contract to use Verflink.

Acceptable use

This is the part we care about most, because our crawler visits other people's servers on your instruction.

We apply rate limits to our endpoints and to how fast we hit any single domain. If an account abuses the service, breaks the rules above, or creates a load or legal risk we are not willing to carry, we may throttle, suspend, or close it. Where it is practical we tell you first.

Subscription and payments

Your site, your data

Your website and its content stay yours. By adding a site you give us permission to fetch its public pages for as long as you keep it in your account, so that we can run the checks you ask for.

We keep the minimum needed to run the service: your email, the sites you added, and the status of the links we checked. We do not store the content of the pages we crawl. What we hold, who processes it for us, and how long we keep it is set out in the privacy policy. You can ask us to delete your account and everything tied to it by emailing hello@verflink.com, and we will do it.

Changes to the service

We will keep changing Verflink: adding checks, changing how results are grouped, retiring things that do not work. If a change materially reduces what a paid plan gives you, we will give you reasonable notice by email before it applies to you. We do not promise a level of uptime, and the service can be unavailable during maintenance or an incident.

The service is provided as it is

Verflink is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties beyond those the law does not let us exclude. In particular we do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, that a scan will find every problem, or that a result is fit for a particular purpose of yours.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost affiliate commissions, lost revenue, lost profit, lost data, or any indirect or consequential loss, whether it comes from using Verflink, from being unable to use it, or from a problem on your site that a scan did not detect. Our total liability for any claim connected to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event that caused it.

Nothing here excludes liability that cannot be excluded under Swiss law, including liability for intent and gross negligence.

Ending the agreement

You can stop using Verflink whenever you want: cancel the subscription, and ask us to delete your account. We can suspend or end an account that breaks the acceptable use section above. As set out under payments, we do not refund a period that has already started.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change we update this page and the date at the top. For changes that materially affect your rights, we give you notice by email before they apply to one of your renewals. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new version.

Governing law

Swiss law applies, and any dispute goes to the competent courts at the operator's registered seat in Switzerland. If a clause here turns out to be unenforceable, the rest stays in force.
